Although this is mainly a site dedicated to Coca
Cola, my views on soda can collecting have changed since I started
collecting almost 6 years ago. Before it was COKE THIS AND COKE THAT.
It's all different now. I have a new appreciation for other soda brands,
as well as the different artistic designs that you find on particular
cans. There is also a broad knowledge that one picks up over years of
collecting, my favorite is finding out a new design from another
country. Circa: 1951

Here is the third type of cone top Pepsi can available to collect. Pepsi was very reluctant to start canning and they tried these cone top cans as a test market run to see if it would take off. They were sold in stores for a whopping 25cents for 3 which was considered very expensive in those times. A Pepsi can like this one can go anywhere from $200-800 depending on the condition. Here is the first
design of a Pepsi Flat Top can. Like the first Coke Can, this is a
"EXPORT ONLY" can. I only know a handful of collectors with this can and
there is very little known about this can. I received it from a Pepsi
executive about 3 years ago and that was the only information I got. The
condition of this can is superb and I'm very proud to have this in my
collection. Circa: 1960
This can was immediately produced after the export can as a test market can. It is exactly the same except for the "Export Only" near the seam. Again these cans are very hard to come by. Circa: 1963
At this point, this
can was the first domestic can that Pepsi mass produced. There is a
noticeable change in design from the earlier Pepsi cans. Circa: 1964
A more common version of the "bottle Cap" pepsi can design. Notice the 12 fluid ounces on the bottom Circa: 1964

![]() Here is the first type of Diet Pepsi can. It was introduced in 1964. These cans are very hard to come by. This is truly a beautiful can. Circa: 1967
Circa: 1967 Here is a very sought after can. It was only produced for a short period of time. It seems to me that Pepsi was trying to copy Coca Cola and come out with a 'diamond' design. There is another version of this can with a different textured background.
